He left Bhog due to creative differences with the owner. Zahir briefly returned to open Bhog for the new owner. Promising himself he would return one day and reopen Bollywood, he went back to working in Manhattan. Having fallen in love with Pleasantville and Bollywood customers, it broke his heart when Bollywood Bistro closed in September 2012. Zahir came to Pleasantville in July 2009 to work in Bollywood Bistro.
